The LAPD is investigating whether Chris Brown left the scene of a fender bender last week without giving his proper information to the other driver. If he did, what would have been a routine car accident with no injuries would now be considered a hit-and-run.
Brown and girlfriend Karrueche Tran were riding in Los Angeles on Tuesday May 21st, when Brown rear ended another vehicle. According to TMZ, the singer gave the other driver false insurance information and refused to give her his driver's license number.
Chris is on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. If the police find that he broke the law by leaving the scene of an accident without fully disclosing all of the information required by law, his probation could be violated. As a result Chris could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.
