Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West continues to have a difficult month of May as days after running into a street sign reports of his $750,000 Lamborghini being damaged at girlfriend Kim Kardashian's mansion have surfaced.
Two days after Kanye West walked into a pole in Beverly Hills, Calif., and struck his head, his car reportedly got crunched by a gate at Kim Kardashian's L.A. house. TMZ.com reports the incident happened last Friday when West's $750,000 Lamborghini Aventador, which had been recently serviced, was being delivered to Kardashian's home. The driver pulled through the entrance, but before he could make it all the way in, an automatic gate started closing and damaged both sides of the car. (ABC News Radio)
To make matters worse, the whole accident took place with Yeezy nowhere in sight.
The Lamborghini Aventador was reportedly being delivered to Kim's Los Angeles crib after getting serviced. The driver pulled in but didn't quite make it all the way before the gate closed on the left side. While 'Ye is roaming the NY streets, a repair shop is said to be looking into the damages and hopes to buff it out. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported nor was the Chi-town rapper present for a potential blow-up. (VIBE)
Known for referencing the luxury and pricey vehicle line, a Lamborghini representative reacted to West's frequent co-signslast summer.
The folks over at Lamborghini don't mind how West and his crew used their brand in the brash song and video, the rep confirms. The single just broke into the Billboard Hot 100 chart's top 20 (currently No. 19) last week. The rep even admits that there are more than a few West fans in the office. But they don't expect to see sales of any of their cars to rise because of the track. "Most owners tell us they've had a lifelong love affair with the brand before they actually purchased their Lamborghini," says the rep. "This is another example of the use of a Lamborghini in various art forms. Communicating success, individuality and creativity are hallmarks of the brand." Of course, Lamborghini is not mad at that either. "We appreciate the publicity," the spokesperson says. "But more importantly, we hope Kanye has the opportunity to fully experience the exhilarating performance and technical innovations found in all Lamborghinis." (Complex)
