MEEK MILL TEAMS WITH TIMBALAND FOR NEW ALBUM

Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Justin Timberlake have all benefitted from Timbaland’s talents, and now the super-producer is applying his platinum touch to Meek Mill’s sophomore album.

The MMG rapper was recently in the studio with Timbo, and shared a photo from their recording session on Instagram.

“#timbo said he coming wit that heat 4 for my new album,” tweeted Meek.

Both Meek and Timbaland are managed by Roc Nation. While on tour in Europe last year, Timbo previewed a collaboration with Meek, but it’s unknown where it will end up.

In addition to Timbaland, Meek has been in the studio with Diddy working on the follow-up to his debut Dreams and Nightmares.

“My next album is all that matters #specialdelivery #2014,” said Meek, who dropped his mixtape Dreamchasers 3 in September.

Dreams and Nightmares debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in November 2012 and featured appearances from Drake, Nas, Rick Ross, and Mary J. Blige.

Platinum-selling power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce appeared Saturday at a “Justice for Trayvon Martin” vigil after the slain teen’s mother proclaimed her son’s innocence. “Trayvon was no burglar,” a stoic Sybrina Fulton told a Harlem rally with the Rev. Al Sharpton. “He had a drink and some candy. He had every right to be in that area.” Former N.Y. Gov. Eliot Spitzer also attended the demonstration. 

Beyonce gains new stepmother; Matthew Knowles re-marries

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Beyonce has a stepmother.

Her father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, got married last Sunday. His representative told The Associated Press on Friday that he has wed former model Gena Charmaine Avery in Houston, Texas. The pair had been engaged for a year and a half.

Beyonce headlined the Chime for Change concert in London on Saturday, June 1st. The show is part of a program to help empower girls and women across the globe. She performed a medley of hits including "Crazy In Love" with her husband, Jay-Z.

Other artists on the bill included Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Florence + The Machine and Rita Ora.

 Madonna, Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Rai, Jada Pinkett Smith, James Franco, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Chastain and feminist icon Gloria Steinem were among the presenters.

Beyonce Pregnant with Second Child!

One day after the 31-year-old's huge food order (pregnancy cravings?) leaked to the media comes the cancelation of her Belgium show — yet another clue that is fueling the rumor that a pregnancy is being kept under wraps.

The show was officially canceled due to "exhaustion" and "dehydration," ailments which are routinely used by celebrities looking to keep health details private. A rep for Bey said that she is "awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision" on going forward with the next date on the overseas leg of The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour

Beyonce talks about trip to Cuba and Blue Ivy

Jay-Z may have his "Open Letter," but Beyoncé’s response to the outcry over her and her hubby’s recent vacation in Cuba was much more traditional: a TV interview.
In a sit-down with ABC News’ Amy Robach on the London leg of her Mrs. Carter tour, Beyoncé talked about the trip, the reaction to it, family life and Blue Ivy’s future siblings.
Asked about the Cuba controversy, Beyoncé gushed over her experience in the Caribbean country, and said she was surprised by the reaction to it.

Jay-Z's lyrics aren't always rooted in truth and President Barack Obama has proof.
White House press secretary Jay Carney already denied Hov's lyrical claims of speaking with the POTUS about going to Cuba, as did Obama himself.

In an interview airing on NBC's Today show this morning, the commander-in-chief responded to Jay's "Open Letter" verse, revealing that he was never consulted about Mr. and Mrs. Carter's controversial trip. "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip," he said. "My understanding is they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba."

But that wasn't the end of his candor. Obama went on to state that the White House is far too busy to be concerned with the travel schedule of hip hop's favorite couple. "This is not something the White House was involved in. We've got better things to do."

Sounds about right.
