BEYONCÉ, JAY Z, & BLUE IVY ESCAPE TO SPAIN

The Carters spent Labor Day weekend at home and abroad. Following Beyoncé’sheadlining set at Saturday’s Made in America festival in Philly, the jet-setting couple kicked back and enjoyed performances from Solange, Miguel, and Nine Inch Nails on Sunday.

Hours later, they hopped a plane to Spain for some R&R. The famous family was seen boarding a yacht in Ibiza with Blue Ivy. Beyoncé carried her adorable daughter in her arms as she strut up the ramp in her stilettos.

Bey has a few more days to rest before she kicks off the Latin American leg of“The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” on Sept. 8.

Platinum-selling power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce appeared Saturday at a “Justice for Trayvon Martin” vigil after the slain teen’s mother proclaimed her son’s innocence. “Trayvon was no burglar,” a stoic Sybrina Fulton told a Harlem rally with the Rev. Al Sharpton. “He had a drink and some candy. He had every right to be in that area.” Former N.Y. Gov. Eliot Spitzer also attended the demonstration. 

JAY-Z ANNOUNCES ‘MAGNA CARTA WORLD TOUR’ EUROPEAN DATES

Jay-Z is taking Magna Carta… Holy Grail global. Fresh off his performance at the Yahoo! Wireless Festival in London, the rap titan has announced the first datesfor his “Magna Carta World Tour.”

The European leg gets underway on October 3 at Manchester Arena and travels to the U.K., France, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and Germany, before winding down in the Netherlands on October 29.

Tickets will be available for pre-sale beginning July 17, followed by the public on-sale on July 19.

Prior to hitting the road solo, Hov will tour the U.S. with Justin Timberlake on the “Legends of the Summer” tour, which wraps August 16 in Miami.

Other artists on the bill included Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Florence + The Machine and Rita Ora.

 Madonna, Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Rai, Jada Pinkett Smith, James Franco, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Chastain and feminist icon Gloria Steinem were among the presenters.

Wizkid to perform at Wireless Music Festival alongside Jay-Z, John Legend

The Yahoo! Wireless Festival is an annual summer jam that has taken place in England since 2005.

This year, it is taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London across Friday 12 July, Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July. Nigerian pop sensation Wizkid and the “Azonto” pioneer, Fuse ODG have been billed to perform this year. Both acts follow in the footsteps of D’Banj who performed on the same stage last year.

Nigeria's Wizkid and Ghana's Fuse will be sharing the stage with International superstars Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Emeli Sande, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Rita Ora and so many more.

In a sit-down with ABC News’ Amy Robach on the London leg of her Mrs. Carter tour, Beyoncé talked about the trip, the reaction to it, family life and Blue Ivy’s future siblings.
Asked about the Cuba controversy, Beyoncé gushed over her experience in the Caribbean country, and said she was surprised by the reaction to it.

Days after reports surfaced that Jay-Z was looking to sell his ownership share in the Brooklyn Nets to become a sports agent, it's official: The rapper-mogul has finally relinquished his shares in the new team. He released a statement via his website, Life & Times, commenting on the deal.

"Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions," he said in the statement, posted underneath a large header that read "Brooklyn" in the team's official font and black-and-white color scheme. "It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever... A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team."

Jay-Z's lyrics aren't always rooted in truth and President Barack Obama has proof.
White House press secretary Jay Carney already denied Hov's lyrical claims of speaking with the POTUS about going to Cuba, as did Obama himself.

In an interview airing on NBC's Today show this morning, the commander-in-chief responded to Jay's "Open Letter" verse, revealing that he was never consulted about Mr. and Mrs. Carter's controversial trip. "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip," he said. "My understanding is they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba."

But that wasn't the end of his candor. Obama went on to state that the White House is far too busy to be concerned with the travel schedule of hip hop's favorite couple. "This is not something the White House was involved in. We've got better things to do."

Sounds about right.
