Sylvia Kristel Dies At Age 60

After a long battle with cancer, Sylvia Kristel, the star of the 1974 groundbreaking film "Emmanuelle," died at the age of 60 on Wednesday (October 17).
After starring her groundbreaking debut in the adult film, Kristel starred in sequels as well as other erotic love films, including "Lady Chatterly's Lover" and "Mata Hari".

Not everything was success for Sylvia though, as the Dutch model-turned-actress briefly fought addictions to drugs and alcohol, and revealed in 2005, "I wish I could have skipped that part of my life."
Miss Kristel is survived by her partner, Peter Brul, and her son through another relationship, Arthur Kristel.
